The Greatest Branding Project Ever*

Film and TV (Media) Production

For your fourth quarter branding project you are going to “brand yourself” with all associated media in the project rated “G” for subject matter, language, and content.  This project is worth 20% of your grade for this quarter.  In the interest of privacy and expedience, you may use false contact information if you so choose.  Make up names and addresses of references and where appropriate.  Do not leave blanks.  Three days have been provided for you to use the computer lab as a courtesy.  If you need more time you must arrange for that time on your own: May 28, 29, and 30. This final project is in the form of a portfolio and should be put together in a professional and conscientious manner:

 

1)     r Create a cover / title page

2)     rCreate an index (table of contents) for each of the following elements and staple or bind  them together to be turned in at the start of class on the due date (r be sure to label any extra credit).

3)  r Logo (you may hand draw) representing yourself (look at your personal mission statement)

4)  rCatch Phrase or Slogan  representing yourself (look at your personal mission statement)

5)  Each of the following typed print advertising incorporating your logo—

r Create a one paragraph mission statement for after you are done with your formal education.

r Business Cards (you may hand draw)

r Cover Letter (business format this introduces why are you applying summary of resume)

r Resume (typed- references always upon request “references” page)

r Sample Thank You Letter (business format- to have prepared to send after the interview)

Extra credit only r Flyer (you may hand draw)

6) Interview Assignment: 

r Answer the 20 questions located on my website (click here)

Extra credit only: r if you record your interview and turn it in on DVD, VHS, Cassette or CD.

7) Television incorporating logo and Catch Phrase or Slogan (use individual pages for Storyboard)

r Storyboard for a 10 Second Spot

Extra credit only: r Storyboard for a 30 Second TV Spot

8) Radio Script with your Catch Phrase or Slogan (from above) for an infomercial about you.

9)  r T-shirt-- design front and back (you may draw a T shirt and design on standard paper)

Extra credit only: r create the actual T-shirt

Extra credit only: r packaging incorporating logo and Catch Phrase or Slogan for T-shirt.

10)r Have this turned in on the due date or delivered to the main office on or before Friday June 6.

 

For the grade of an “A”  

complete each element in 1- 10

For the grade of an “B”  

complete each element in 1-7

For the grade of an “C”  

complete each element in 1-6

You may choose to complete some extra credit but it is not required for any of the above grades.     Each school day late results in a 10% grade reduction. Of course some measure of quality is reflected in common sense, spelling, grammar, neatness, and conscientiousness appropriate for a graduating senior the following rubric will apply-- no real contact information (phone number) or address is required—details like an appropriate business e-mail are expected (e.g. “playa@aol.com” is not professional)
